Sunday Judging

Thank you for the invite, I was very honoured and found many beautiful hounds. Some did worry me as they were too lightly built and many fronts were poor, but on the whole I had the opportunity to go over some superb examples of the breed. I had to search for incorrect hard expressions, most were soft with good eye shape & colour. Bites were good. Thank you for your generous acceptance of my decisions.

Special Rotherwood Stakes Dog or Bitch 21 entries -9 absent 1st Guise’s Saintvalery Anticipation. B.7 years. Very typical, lovely expression, general outline very good with super drooping quarters & well muscled. front & rear movement Carried herself well on the move. OK, not many in this class were true coming and going but this lady excelled in her side gait and general type with front & rear movement as good or better than the most in the class. 2nd Helps Greyfriars Gille of Beardswood. D. 3 years. Handsome mail, strong, outline OK although not as typical as winner, although well balanced enough. Another very alike pair, very typical in head, colour and markings, almost identical, lovely balanced outline moved truly. 3rd Girling’s . Again hounds names unknown, Almost the same comments apply.
